DOOR-TO-DOOR SURVEYS

An LE who shy's away from door-to-door is like a medical student who cannot stand the sight of blood. A laboratory job awaits them both. A retired minister once told me that he felt it was his God-given right to knock on a stranger's door with our literature. The easiest way to gain confidence and break down prejudice is with our surveys. You will need to make a split decision on which of the two surveys to use when the prospect opens the door.
These surveys will help you to gain entry into many homes.  They are designed to invoke interesting discussions.  Many people have much to say but so few to listen to them. As well, in the homes you do get into, the customer will have informed you on how to best canvass them.  If the prospects have experienced a bad medical situation, or are currently in poor health, you now have a golden opportunity to canvass our life-changing health materials.  If the prospect is a born-again Christian who is very concerned with the declining state of the world, we have the books they need.  Surveys also develop character building in the LE, and a quiet confidence develops in which the colporteur feels they can handle almost any situation.  There will be the typical rudeness at some doors but take no offence, the prospect does not know you, it is not personal, you are only trying to help them.  Leave a brochure at the door of those not home.
There will be days when the lead cards and referrals run out and you have nowhere to go other than to a stranger's door.  For this reason, we rank door-to-door canvassing as the #1 method of colporteur marketing.

MEDICAL SURVEY

Hello Mrs. Prospect, my name is ............. and I represent the HHES. We are conducting a brief survey in your community today with a goal to ensure the next generation will be prescription drug free. You wouldn't mind if we asked your opinion on a few important health related matters?

(a) Doctors are reporting a rise in stress-related diseases. Do you believe there is a link between stress and disease?

(b) What about heredity? Your grandmother had it, does this mean you are going to get it too?

(c) How about the relationship between lifestyle (meaning the way we eat and live) and disease? Does this have any bearing upon disease?
(d) Do you believe in Divine healing in some cases?

(e) At the present time would you consider yourself to be in reasonable health, or have you suffered a setback and are on the road to recovery?

An article in the medical journal recently said that 75% of Americans by the age of 50, are pharmaceutical drug addicts. Scientist and doctors came to the conclusion that North America’s medical system does not make a healthier people, but one that is more dependant. They were asked to create material to help parents teach health to their families. May I step in a minute to show their important findings?

BIBLE SURVEY

Hello Mrs. Prospect, my name is ............ and I represent the HHES. We are conducting a brief survey in your community today with the goal to ensure character building for children, thus preventing juvenile delinquency. You wouldn't mind if we briefly asked your opinion on these important matters?

(a) How important is spiritual training for children?

(b) Do you believe children today are learning their spiritual lessons at their school?

(c) How about on the shows they watch on TV?

(d) What about from their friends in the neighbourhood?

(e) Where do you feel is the best place for them to learn their spiritual lessons?

Thank you Mrs. Prospect for answering these important questions. Our next step is to spend a few minutes to show you materials dedicated to teaching children character building and spiritual lessons.  That will be ok to show you?
